The Cornell Public Interest Network
The Cornell Public Interest Network is supported through the office of the Assistant Dean for Public Service. The Network meets several times each semester and is open to any and all students interested in legal careers in public interest or government practice. This is a casual forum for on-going conversations among students regarding career paths, job search strategies, concerns about money, and other thoughts about pursuing a career in the public interest. Many students are also involved with groups such as the Public Interest Law Union, the National Lawyers’ Guild and Cornell Advocates for Human Rights. Public Service Committee
The Dean annually appoints a student-faculty committee to provide input into the Law School’s public service programs. Specifically, the committee is charged to advise the Assistant Dean for Public Service, Karen Comstock, on issues relating to the promotion and enhancement of public service initiatives. Students interested in serving on this committee should contact the Cornell Law Students Association (CLSA).
