Cornell Law School has an informal exchange arrangement with the law faculty at the University of Heidelberg, although we have not sent students there in recent years. Please note that the German government offers a special fellowship for a Cornell Law School graduate to study for the LL.M. degree at the University of Heidelberg. The fellowship is named in honor of Jacob Gould Schurman, former president of Cornell University and U.S. Ambassador to Germany, who had special ties to Heidelberg. Persons interested in a semester abroad or the Schurman Fellowship should contact the Executive Director of the Clarke Center for International and Comparative Legal Studies.
