Barry Strom is a Clinical Professor of Law in the Cornell Legal Aid Clinic. After his graduation from Cornell Law School, Mr. Strom worked for a year in the Nassau County Law Services Committee, and then joined the Cornell Law School Clinic Faculty in 1975. In his 27 years in the Clinic, which he directed from 1978-1989 and then from 2000-2001, Mr. Strom has used supervised case handling to teach second and third year law students about the role of the lawyer, the lawyering process, and lawyering skills through supervised case handling. His classroom and clinic teaching address client interviewing, counseling, negotiation, hearing advocacy, family court practice, case planning, discovery, fact investigation and motion practice.
