Professional Biography

Ursula Weigold, Clinical Professor of Law, received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. After a clerkship for the chief justice of the Texas Court of Appeals in Houston, she served as Senior Staff Attorney to the court for four years. She was board certified as a specialist in civil appellate law for ten years. Professor Weigold began teaching at South Texas College of Law in 1990 and became assistant dean and director of the lawyering program. In 2001, she joined the faculty of the University of St. Thomas School of Law (Minnesota) as the founding director of its nationally recognized lawyering skills program. Her current research interests focus on legal ethics and legal education. She has taught courses in Lawyering, Professional Responsibility, Comparative Legal Systems, and International Human Rights.
